This Week at Morso
This Friday we are hosting our Friend John Deardorff as he presents wines from Graham Beck and Neil Ellis of South Africa. For many wine drinkers, South Africa is a mystery or a complete unknown wine growing region. We have selected two amazing wineries, Graham Beck and Neil Ellis to give you a great beginning guide to the wine styles of South Africa from bubbles to reds. Neil Ellis and Graham Beck have each been producing wines for over four decades.
We will be presenting:
Graham Beck Rose Sparkling Wine
Neil Ellis 2016 Sauvignon Blanc
Neil Ellis 2016 Chardonnay Elgin
Neil Ellis 2014 Left Bank Red Blend
Graham Beck 2014 Game Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Neil Ellis 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon
There is a $5 fee/person for this tasting that is applied to the purchase of these wines. Any wines purchased from the tasting may be served without a corkage fee on the night of the tasting.
Our new artist has connections to Gig Harbor. She was raised here and moved away about 30 years ago. Beverly Ash Gilbert still has family in Gig Harbor and she is having her new exhibition It's a Colorful Life through February 18. Please come and see Beverly's beautiful work.
"I was born 100 feet from Morso." This was Aaron English's comment about his Gig Harbor connection. We are very excited to present English & Hareza, a "world soul" singer-songwriter duo from Park City, Utah featuring male/female vocal harmonies, piano, guitar and assorted ethnic instruments such as kalimba and electronic tabla. Come and hear Aaron's new project with Elizabeth Hareza as this is their hometown CD release party on Saturday February 3, 2018 at 8 pm. Call 253-530-3463 for tickets, $15.
